Cook apprentices, in kitchens of restaurants, lodging facilities, and school meal facilities, etc., under the instructions of cooks or head chefs, handle ingredient preprocessing (washing and preparation), cutting, measuring, cooking assistance, plating, dishwashing, kitchen cleaning and hygiene management, etc. Through these tasks, they learn knife skills, heat control adjustments, cooking processes, and gradually take on simple cooking tasks. Since the kitchen is a busy and high-temperature environment, physical stamina and teamwork are required.
