Classification

Summary

A profession that inspects the quality of compound feed, conducting component analysis as well as checks for foreign matter and microorganisms.

Description

Compound feed inspectors collect samples of livestock compound feed and perform component analysis such as moisture content, crude protein, crude fat, crude fiber, and ash content. They also conduct pH measurements and microbial inspections (e.g., coliform group, Salmonella), and check for the presence of foreign matter contamination. They operate and maintain analytical instruments (spectrophotometers, near-infrared analyzers, chromatographs, etc.), prepare reagents, record results, and create reports. Based on food safety standards and internal specifications, they manage quality control data, provide feedback to the production line, and support stable product supply.

Future Outlook

Due to stable demand in the livestock industry and increasing food safety awareness, the importance of quality inspection work will be maintained. As analysis technologies become more automated and labor-saving, higher-level analytical skills will be required.
