Description

Ceramic manufacturing technologists handle all processes in ceramics production, including quality evaluation and mixing of raw clay materials, forming (potter's wheel forming or mold pressing), drying, bisque firing, final firing, glaze mixing and application, setting and managing firing conditions, finishing processes, quality inspection, and equipment maintenance. They check product dimensional accuracy, color variations, presence of cracks, etc., and perform process improvement proposals, cost management, safety and health management, and environmental management. They utilize the latest automatic forming machines and kiln control technologies to improve production efficiency and quality.

Future Outlook

Domestic demand for ceramics is stable, but competition with overseas products is intensifying. Automation of production processes and introduction of IoT technology will advance labor reduction and advanced quality control, making the training of skilled technicians and acquisition of digital skills key challenges.
