Classification

Summary

A job that manages and operates a series of processes from raw material blending to firing, crushing, and packaging to produce high-quality cement.

Description

Cement manufacturing workers receive and store raw materials such as limestone and silica sand, and blend them based on formulation calculations. The blended raw materials are fired at high temperature in a rotary kiln (kiln) to form clinker, then finely ground in a grinding mill to produce cement products, which are packaged and shipped. They also handle operation and monitoring of the production line, initial response to troubles, periodic inspections, quality tests (strength tests and chemical analysis), etc., and are required to manage operations in compliance with safety and environmental regulations. The factory environment is high-temperature and dusty, so dust masks and protective gear are worn, and 24-hour operation with shift work is common.

Future Outlook

While stable demand is expected due to the need for maintenance and renewal of public infrastructure, plant automation and digitalization are advancing in response to energy-saving and environmental regulations, requiring operators to improve advanced control and analysis skills.
