Description
Casting workers are responsible for pouring operations, melting metal at high temperatures in a melting furnace and pouring the molten metal into predetermined molds (sand molds or metal molds). After pouring, they cool the metal, remove the mold, perform deburring, grinding, polishing, and other post-processing, and inspect the product's dimensions and surface quality. Duties also include mold preparation and maintenance, furnace maintenance, safe operations, temperature control, and defect detection. Safety and health management in high-temperature and hazardous work environments, as well as teamwork, are required.
