Classification

Summary

A technical role that uses CAE software to perform simulation analyses of product structures, fluids, heat, etc., and supports design improvements.

Description

CAE Analysis Engineers leverage numerical analysis methods such as the Finite Element Method (FEM) and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) to simulate physical phenomena including the strength and durability of products or components, fluid behavior, and heat conduction. They handle everything from creating analysis models (mesh generation), setting material properties and boundary conditions, executing computations, to visualizing and evaluating results and preparing reports. They collaborate with design and materials development departments, propose design changes based on analysis results, and contribute to product quality improvement through comparisons and verifications with physical tests.

Future Outlook

Demand is increasing with the expansion of simulation use in product development and DX initiatives. Needs for high-speed, high-precision analysis through integration with AI and automation technologies are growing.
