Description

Building Equipment Management Apprentices, under the guidance of senior managers, perform daily patrol inspections, simple repairs, assistance with periodic inspections, record and report preparation, vendor coordination, and initial responses in emergencies for equipment such as air conditioning, electrical systems, plumbing and sanitation, firefighting and disaster prevention, and elevators installed in office buildings and commercial facilities. They acquire specialized knowledge and skills. In the future, they will advance to become Building Equipment Managers responsible for equipment operation planning, energy-saving measures, BMS operations, and overseeing statutory inspections. Work involves high-altitude and confined space operations, as well as night shifts, requiring safety awareness, physical stamina, and accuracy.

Future Outlook

Demand for equipment management technicians is expected to remain stable due to the increase in aging buildings from an aging society and strengthened energy-saving laws. Remote monitoring systems using IoT and AI are being introduced.
