Classification

Summary

Manufacturing staff who fire raw materials such as limestone and clay at high temperatures to produce clinker, crush it, and produce cement.

Description

Blast furnace cement manufacturing workers appropriately blend raw materials such as limestone, clay, and steel slag, and fire them at approximately 1450°C in a rotary kiln to generate clinker. The generated clinker is finely pulverized, and an appropriate amount of gypsum, etc., is added to manufacture the final product, cement. They continuously monitor temperature, rotation speed, exhaust gas analysis, etc., during the process, conduct quality tests based on JIS standards, perform equipment maintenance inspections and troubleshooting, and maintain safe and stable production.

Future Outlook

While stable demand is expected due to construction needs, technological innovation is required in response to CO2 emission regulations and development of alternative materials.
