Engineering & Manufacturing

Classification

Summary

Manufacturing job responsible for assembling, wiring, and inspecting automotive electrical components (wire harnesses and electronic parts).

Description

Electrical assemblers (automotive manufacturing) are positions that handle assembly, wiring, soldering, crimping, continuity and insulation inspections, etc., of automotive electrical parts and wire harnesses. On the production line, they read drawings and wiring diagrams, accurately cut cables, crimp terminals, attach connectors, and perform continuity checks and insulation resistance measurements using testers. In the production process, they conduct appearance inspections and electrical inspections in accordance with quality standards to prevent the occurrence of defective products. The work involves a lot of standing and repetitive operations, and also requires teamwork and process improvements (5S, QC methods).

Future Outlook

With the advancement of EV conversion and autonomous driving technology, electrical components are becoming more sophisticated and diverse. Although some processes will be automated with the introduction of automation equipment, complex and precise tasks will still require manual fine adjustments and inspections, so demand for electrical assemblers is expected to remain stable to a certain extent. Acquiring skills in high-voltage circuits and smart wiring technology will increase future career value.
