Classification

Summary

A specialist who conducts component analysis and microbiological testing of alcoholic beverages, responsible for product quality control and compliance with laws and regulations.

Description

Alcoholic beverage inspectors maintain and manage the quality of beer, wine, whiskey, and other products during the manufacturing process and in finished products by conducting component analysis, microbiological inspections, sensory inspections, and more. They measure pretreated samples using analytical instruments such as GC, HPLC, spectrophotometers, pH meters, and densitometers, then organize and analyze the data. They detect abnormal values, investigate causes, and contribute to quality improvement and optimization of manufacturing conditions. They also handle calibration and maintenance of inspection equipment, standardization of inspection procedures, hygiene management, and compliance with related laws (Food Sanitation Law, Liquor Tax Law, etc.). Accurate inspection results are reported to management and manufacturing departments to ensure product safety and consistent quality.

Future Outlook

With the strengthening of quality regulations domestically and internationally and the rising safety awareness among consumers, demand for alcoholic beverage inspectors remains stable or is increasing. As analysis technologies advance, skills in data analysis and new inspection methods are required.
