Description

The Chief of the Air Staff holds the highest responsibility for overseeing the organization management of the Air Self-Defense Force as well as the planning, formulation, and execution of air operations. In collaboration with the Ministry of Defense and the Joint Staff Office, they command staff units such as the Operations Department, Planning Department, Personnel Department, Equipment Department, and Information and Communications Department, formulate air strategies, respond to crisis management, and engage in international cooperation and diplomatic negotiations. They also participate in unit training and equipment procurement, promoting capability development to prepare for future threats.
