Description
The first officer rank after completing the officer candidate course in the Air Self-Defense Force, responsible for a wide range of duties including unit operation management, assistance in operational planning, subordinate education and training, and safety management. In daily operations, it involves managing unit business operations, planning and implementing training programs, guiding and evaluating subordinates, and reporting, contacting, and consulting (Hou-Ren-Sou) with senior officers. During emergencies or exercises, it engages in operational command and support duties. Additionally, it plays an important role in maintaining overall organizational functions through base operations, equipment management, and coordination with other units and external organizations.

Due to changes in regional situations and demands for strengthening defense capabilities, the demand for executive officers is expected to remain stable.
